$3,773 in 3 months. One Pinterest blog.

That's one of my blogs, July 21 to the middle of October. Ad earnings only. The traffic comes from Pinterest.
Roughly $1,250 a month.
But the earnings aren't the number I'd study. The RPM is.
$44.87.
Every week someone sends me an RPM under $10 and asks what they're doing wrong. This blog earns more than four times that from the same kind of traffic.
Where the $44.87 comes from
I broke this down two weeks ago. If you missed it, the full RPM email is here.
Short version: every time someone opens your post, advertisers bid on that reader. They pay more when they can picture exactly who's reading.
This blog was built for one audience, not one topic. Advertisers know who lands on it, so they bid like it.
Picking that audience is the first thing PIN POWER walks you through, before you write a single post.
And notice the dates. The window stops in mid-October. November and December, the best-paying months of the year, aren't in it yet.
The number I'd fix first
Look at the screenshot again.
84,076 sessions. 97,823 pageviews.
That's 1.16 pages per visit. Most readers open one post and leave.
Even at $44.87, that's money walking out the door. Every second post a reader opens is another full set of ad slots. No extra pins needed.
I ran this fix on one blog and revenue went up 28% in the first month:
Pull your top 25 posts by Pinterest traffic.
Pull your top posts by RPM. They're usually different posts.
In each traffic post, add 4 to 6 links to the high-RPM posts. Put them inside real sentences, after the first quarter of the article.
That's one lever from the RPM module inside PIN POWER. The rest of them are in there too.
Over the next two months, point some of those links at your holiday posts too. A reader who came for fall decor is one click away from your Christmas gift guide.
Which brings me to the deadline.
The 60 days that pay the most
Brands spend the most on ads from October to December. November and December are the peak. Last November, RPMs on my blogs jumped 40 to 70%.
Then January arrives, budgets reset, and RPMs drop hard.
So a reader in December is worth more than the same reader in February. But only if your holiday pins are already live when people start searching.
That's the part almost everyone gets wrong.
In 2024 I published a Halloween article in late August. By October it had pulled 50,000+ pageviews and about $2,500 in ad revenue.
One article.
Most people post their Halloween content in October. By then Pinterest has already picked the pins it's going to push.
Pinterest is a planning app. People save Christmas ideas in November and use them in December. Your pin has to be there before they start saving, and Pinterest needs time to test it. Even more on a newer account.
Your Q4 pin calendar
My rule: if your account is under 6 months old, publish holiday content 45 to 60 days early. If it's established, 15 to 30 days early.
Here's what that means for the next four holidays:
Holiday | Account under 6 months | Established account |
|---|---|---|
Thanksgiving (Nov 26) | Too late. Go straight to Christmas. | Now until Nov 11 |
Christmas (Dec 25) | Now | Now |
New Year's Eve (Dec 31) | Nov 1 to Nov 16 | Dec 1 to Dec 16 |
Valentine's Day (Feb 14) | Dec 16 to Dec 31 | Jan 15 to Jan 30 |
Christmas breaks the rule because it isn't one day. It's a whole season. Searches start climbing in late October and peak in mid-December. So it's "now," however old your account is.
One more thing. Don't write "Christmas decor ideas." Every blog on Pinterest is fighting over that one.
Write for one person in one situation:
Christmas decor for a small apartment
Christmas outfits for an office party
Christmas gifts for a dad who has everything
Same holiday. Three different people. Three posts that Pinterest knows exactly who to show to.
That's the Splinter Method. PIN POWER shows you how to run it on every seed keyword in your niche.
If you only do two things this week:
Publish your first 3 Christmas posts, each one written for a specific person.
Add links from your top 10 traffic posts to those Christmas posts.
3 DFY orders in. Room for 4 more.
In my last email I opened our done-for-you service. Since then, 3 people have ordered.
My team can take on 4 more blogs right now. After that, new orders wait until a spot opens up.
Here's what you get:
→ Website setup. Niche research, domain and hosting, design, and every page an ad network checks before it says yes.
→ 300 blog posts. Keyword-researched, written for real readers, published on your blog and pinned on Pinterest.
→ Support until your blog is monetized. We don't hand you a blog and disappear.
It's a 4-month project, and the blog is 100% yours.
Want the price and the full breakdown? Message "DFY" and we'll send it over. That's also how you claim one of the 4 spots:
