I was closing out my monthly numbers last week when a strange question hooked me.

I know what each blog earns. I know what the portfolio earns. But I'd never once asked what a single article earns.

So I pulled the data and ran it article by article.

What came back was ugly and beautiful at the same time.

Some articles earned $1. Not a typo. One dollar. Sitting there quietly, doing nothing, burning space on a server.

And some articles earned over a thousand dollars each.

Same blog and same process. Same amount of effort poured into every one.

The gap between the best and worst piece of content I own is roughly a thousand to one.

The Seven That Carry Everything

The part that made me sit back in my chair.

I sorted one blog by top-earning articles and looked at the top seven. Not the top fifty. Seven.

Add them up and you get $6,446 from seven pieces of content.

That blog made roughly $12,000 in the last 90 days. Which means seven articles are carrying more than half of the entire blog on their backs.

Look at the RPM column too. 41.3, 40.8, 41.7, 39. Those aren't normal blog RPMs. Those are what advertisers pay when the person landing on the page is exactly who the content was written for.

Now here's the number that should keep you up tonight.

What Those Seven Articles Actually Cost

My team averages about 35 minutes per article. Research, draft, edit, publish. Then roughly 5 minutes to design the pin.

Seven articles. Around four hours of total human input.

Zero dollars in ads. Zero dollars in promotion. Zero paid traffic.

Four hours in. $6,446 out. And the meter is still running, because those articles will keep earning next month, next quarter, and for years after that.

Run that as an hourly rate and you get something that sounds fake. That's why I never lead with it. Nobody believes hourly numbers on the internet anymore.

So forget the hourly rate. Just sit with the shape of it.

Four hours of work, done once, still paying.

Why the $1 Articles Exist

This is where most people get it wrong, so read this part slowly.

The dead articles weren't badly written. They were well-researched, cleanly formatted, properly optimized. On paper, they should have worked.

They died because they were written for a topic instead of a person.

The winners were built the opposite way. Every single one targets a specific audience with a specific problem. Not the category. The human inside the category.

When you write for a topic, you're one more voice screaming into a crowded feed.

When you write for an audience, Pinterest figures out exactly who your content belongs to and starts feeding that entire group.

That's what those RPMs in the screenshot are telling you. Relevant traffic. Advertisers paying premium because they know precisely who's reading.

Now stretch this forward.

If 7 articles can produce $6,446, what does 50 look like? What happens when you have 5 blogs running the same system instead of 1?

That's not a fantasy. That's just multiplication.

How I Move This Fast

People always ask how a 35-minute average is even possible.

Part of it is AI doing the heavy lifting on research and drafting. But there's a smaller thing that made a bigger difference than I expected.

I stopped typing.

I talk now. To Claude, to my team, to every draft and outline and brief that leaves my desk.

Talking is roughly four times faster than typing, and my thinking is sharper out loud than it is through a keyboard.

The tool I use for this is Wispr Flow, and it's the only piece of software I open before anything else every single morning.

You speak. It turns your voice into clean, professional text you can send the second you stop talking.

Not rough transcription you have to sit there fixing afterward. Actual finished text, in any app, wherever your cursor is.

Speak naturally. Send without fixing.

Wispr Flow turns your voice into clean, professional text you can send the moment you stop talking. Not rough transcription you have to clean up. Actual polished text — ready for email, Slack, or any app.

Speak the way you think. Go on tangents. Change your mind mid-sentence. Flow strips the filler, fixes the grammar, and gives you text that reads like you spent five minutes writing it.

89% of messages sent with zero edits. Millions of professionals use Flow daily, including teams at OpenAI, Vercel, and Clay. Works on Mac, Windows, and iPhone.

Where the Winning Audiences Come From

Speed only matters if you're pointed at the right target. A fast process aimed at the wrong audience just produces $1 articles faster.

The targeting is the whole game.

Inside PIN POWER we've mapped over 200 audience-based niches. Untapped, proven, with real people sitting on Pinterest right now and almost nobody serving them properly.

You don't guess. You pick one and build.

Everything else in the course flows from that first decision. The keyword research, the board structure, the pin design, the monetization path.
